  Batavia NY Daily News - 11/9/1916 East Pembroke, Nov. 9.-Mrs. Caroline A. Bennett, a highly esteemed resident of this village, died from heart disease at 11:45 o'clock last night. She had not been in good health for several years. She had been confined to her bed ten days. Mrs. Bennett's maiden name was Caroline A. Hendricks, and she was born on November 15, 1843. She was married to James F. Bennett at Alexander on December 29, 1868. He died in March. 1868. She possesssed a kindly disposition, which endeared her to all who knew her. She la survived by a son, Frank Bennett of Byron: a daughter, Mrs. A. G. Ellinwood of Batavia, and a brother, Lewis Hendricks of East Pembroke. She was a member of the Stafford Grange and of Naomi Rebekah Lodge. The funeral will be held from Mrs. Bennett's late home at 2 p. m. on Saturday and the burial will be.Jn Hillside cemetery.
