Gerald R Bensley, 725 Church St,
died Friday at the Veteran Hospital,
Buffalo after a long illness.
He was born Dec. 15, 1916 in
Medina to Gerald H. and Johanna
(Redmond) Bensley. He was a
former heavy equipment operator
and was a World War II veteran
having served in the U.S. Army. He
was a member of St. Mary's Church.
Survivors include one son, George
(Arlene) Bensley of Hilton; three
grandchildren, Gerald Bensley of
Hilton, Sandra of Virginia,
Tamara Bensley of Hilton; three
brothers and four sisters, Raymond
(Cecelia) Bensley, Robert (Ann)
Bensley, Donald (Marilyn) Bensley,
all of Medina, Mrs. Phyllis Thompson
of West Seneca, Mrs. Roger
(Rita) Barry and Mrs. Harold
(Mary) Whiting, both of Medina,
Mrs. George (Lucille) Hotchkiss of
Pennsylvania; several nieces and
nephews.
He was also brother of the late
Walter Bensley.
Funeral services were held today
at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C.
Church where a mass of Christian
burial was celebrated by the Rev.
George Yiengst Burial was in St.
Mary's Cemetery.

Bates-Cleary Funeral Home, 232
Park Ave.
