Gladys K. VanAuker, 66, of
Knowlesville, died at Medina
Memorial Hospital on Wednesday
afternoon shortly after arrival.
Bom in Medina on May 20 1922
the daughter of George and Irene
(Willis)) Davey, she had spent her
whole life in Niagara and Orleans
counties.
' Mrs. VanAuker had assisted her
late husband, Bertrand (Bert) VanAuker
in the operation of VanAuk
er's Hotel in Knowlesville for many
years prior to their retirement in
Survivors include a'son, Jerit (Jerry)
VanAuker of Medina; two
daughters, Mrs. Richard (Linda)
Brien and Betty Jean Burroughs,
both of Albion; 15 grandchildren;
three great-grandchildren; a brother,
Robert Davey of Medina; a sister,
Mrs. James (Ruth) Bissell of Knowlesville;
and several'nieces, nephews
and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call at
the Houseman Funeral Home, 228
Park Ave., Friday (2-4, 7-9). The
Rev. James N. Connelly, pastor of
St. Mary's Church; will officiate at a
Mass of Christian Burial in St.
Mary's Church, at 11 a.m on
Saturday.
Burial will be in Bates Road
