- Irene Diane Brown,77, of Middleport went to be with her Lord and Savior, on December 18, 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital. She was born September 30, 1939 in Medina, NY to Walter and Lena Benthin and married Robert Brown on May 7, 1976. Irene attended Medina High School and was a long time resident of Middleport. She retired from Fisher Price Toys. She loved playing bingo with her friends. She is survived by her husband, son, Will (Carolyn) Kropp, of Henrietta; daughter, Kim Kropp Wesley of Summerville, SC; her step-children, Jacqueline (Michael) Jurinich, Medina; and J. Casey (Leah Smithey), Brownstone, MI; five granddaughters, six great grandchildren; and her brother, Fred Benthin of Medina. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Calvary Tabernacle Church, 324 Catherine Street, Medina, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Calvary Tabernacle Church or COPD Foundation at copdfoundation.org memorial donations.
