Marlin "Jake" T. Deemer passed away at Newfane Health Facility on October 1, 2015 at the age of 86. Jake was born in Brookville, Pa in 1929, the son of Harold and Emily Deemer.
Jake is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Barbara; his brothers, Thomas, Luke, James (Paulie) and sister, Carol (Alan) Cook. Jake is predeceased by his sisters, Lois Barletta, and Doris Galbrieth.
Jake is lovingly remembered by his children, Terry (Dennis) Sweet, Richard (Sue) Deemer, Valerie Bouter, Kenneth (Tami) Deemer, Cathy Carless, and Ronald Deemer; grandchildren, Mike Deemer, Kimberly (Gabriel) Spasiano, Julie (Jon) Hugaboom, Shannon Benton, Randy Deemer, Danielle Dunlap, John Bouter and Mark Bouter. In addition to many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Jake graduated from Brookville High School. He married Barbara on Sept. 24, 1949. They moved to Barker, NY in 1953 where they raised their family. Jake worked as a Test Tunnel Mechanic at Harrison Radiator for 36 years.
Jake enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, fishing, hunting, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also an avid car enthusiast.
A private memorial will be held for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
