- Betty E. Vicaire, 98, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on October 25, 2021 at her residence, surrounded by her beloved family while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mable Bowser.
Betty was raised in Pennsylvania where she attended local schools. She moved to Niagara Falls where she would soon meet the love of her life, William Vicaire, whom she married July 18, 1961 at St. Paul’s Church. William passed away on August 22, 2021 after 60 memorable years together.
Betty was employed at Elsie’s Restaurant as a waitress, as well as in the Laundry Department of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for many years before her retirement.
Betty had a love for music and enjoyed singing. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting, and loved the holidays, especially Christmas. During her final days, she requested her daughter find the biggest Christmas tree possible to be placed in the living room, where she would later pass peacefully next to. Above all, Betty being in the presence of her beloved family who will miss her dearly.
Mrs. Vicaire is survived by her children, Robin A. Vicaire and Gary (late Patricia) Aaron, and was predeceased by her daughter, Minta (late Jack) Rawleigh; her grandchildren, Kristen (Gary) Hill, Jerry Aaron, Veronica Barr, Wilson Aaron, Joseph (Roseann) Rawleigh, Tammy (Richard, Sr.) Lamar, and Tina (David) Saulino, and was sadly predeceased by her grandson, Jack (Tina) Rawleigh on the same day of her passing. Betty is also survived by her many cherished great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her siblings, Paul Bowser (Jean), Shirley (John) Grannis and Dixie (late Robert Lee) Jones and was predeceased by one sister Ellamae (late David) Leonard.
