- Margaret Holland Fatally Injured When Car Runs Into Ditch
SEVEN OTHERS ARE HURT
Driver of Auto In Critical Condition in Falls Hospital
Margaret Holland, 17 years old, of LaSalle was killed when an automobile in which she was riding ran into the ditch and turned turtle twice in the Niagara Falls boulevard near the Packard road, last night. The Holland girl, died on her way to a Falls hospital. Seven persons were injured in the accident. They were William Peterin of Niagara Falls, driver of the machine; Alfred Giles of Niagara Falls, Leonore Hughes of the Falls, Beatrice Carr of LaSalle and Mary Jones of Niagara Falls. Peterin is in a critical condition at a Falls hospital, suffering from concussion of the brain. Aside from Peterin none of the occupants of the wrecked car was seriously injured. The Holland girl died from a broken neck. The accident occurred when Peterin lost control of the car, he attempted to bring it back onto the pavement, after one of the front wheels ran off the brick. Peterin was driving towards LaSalle from Niagara Falls at the time of the accident.
