- CRASH OF TRUCK, AUTO TAKES LIFE OF FALLS DRIVER
Trucker, Pennsylvania Man Killed in Cattaraugus County Mishap
A Niagara Falls truck driver and a Pennsylvania man were killed in a collision between a trailer-truck and an automobile near Yorkshire, Cattaraugus County. The local victim, Anthony J. Noone, 35, of 8273 Laughlin Dr., a truck driver for the International Graphite and Electrode Corp., was reported to have died at the scene of the accident from injuries and burns suffered when his tractor-trailer truck overturned and burst into flames after the collision. Also killed was the driver of the car, Donald L. Mescor, 23, of Smethport, Pa. Mr. Noone, a native of Scranton, Pa., had resided in Niagara Falls, for 12 years. He is survived by his wife, Isabel Noone, and a daughter, Eleanor Dee Noone, this city; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Noone, Scranton; three sisters and a brother, Mrs. Robert Davis, Mrs. Gerald Powell, Mrs. Kermit Pilger, Scranton, and William Noone, San Francisco, Calif. Funeral services will be held at the Lane Funeral Home Thursday. The time of the service has not yet been arranged.
