  Chittenango NY Madison County Times - 12/7/1945 Elton T. Niles died suddenly last Friday. He was born September 3, 1882 at Stanwix, a son of Jasper R. and Elizabeth Aiman Niles. He was educated in the Niles District school No. 5 of Rome. He married Anna J. Bender at Chittenango Station, August 20', 1925. She survives, with two daughters, Ella Mae and Gladys, both at home; a sister, Harriet Miller of Holland Patent, and a brother, Charles Niles of Whitelaw. Funeral services were held at his late home Monday afternoon, Rev. A. N. Peckham pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was made in Oakwood cemetery. Bearers were John Niles, Foster Niles, Floyd Niles, Edwin Jaquin, Robert Carpenter and Raymond Steding.
