- Ronald C. Beningo, Sr., 73, of Grand Island, NY, passed away on June 1, 2024 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital in Tonawanda, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of James and Angeline (Bruno) Beningo.
Ron was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School in Niagara Falls, NY, and later attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV. On June 10, 1972, he married Linda M. (Volpe) Beningo at St. Joseph Church. Ron was employed for 42 years with Occidental Chemical Corporation as an Electrician until his retirement in 2017. He enjoyed working in his yard, and was an avid fan of Notre Dame Football and the New York Yankees. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, Ronald is survived by his children, Marion F. Beningo and Ronald C. (Miranda) Beningo, Jr.; his siblings, Richard (Sharon) Beningo, Rosemary (late Michael) Hennigan, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his siblings, James (Shirley) Beningo, and late Joanne Beningo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7 from 4 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
