(nee Knarr) Benzino, age 79, of North Tonawanda, died on Sunday, August, 3, 2014, after a brief illness. Born in Renovo, PA to the late Calvin and Vera (Coon) Knarr, she had been a resident of North Tonawanda for over 50 years. Gwendolyn was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the City of Tonawanda. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William C. Benzino; a daughter, Sandra Benzino of North Tonawanda; and a brother, Robert (Leoda) Knarr of Dubois, PA. Family will be present on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of Tonawanda, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8, at 11 AM. Rev. Andrew Abraham will officiate.
