city, Mrs. Michael A. (Rose) Scrtiavone,
Lewis-ton, N.Y., Mrs. Joseph A.
(Margaret) Rogan of this city, Mrs.
Mary Favro of Olean, N.Y. and the
late Carl G. Berds, sister of Mrs.
Mary Ferraro of this city. Also survived
by 21 grandchildren and 24
greaf grandchildren. Funeral services
will be held from the Spallino Funeral
Home, 1300 Pine Ave., Monday,
October 19th af 9 a.m. and In St.
Teresa's Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment
In Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Mrs. Nellie Berds, 79, of
1596 Ridge Road, Lewiston,
died Thursday (Oct. 16, 1964)
at Memorial Hospital after a
short illness.
She was born in Naples,
Itlay, on Dec. 22, 1885, and
came .to this country about
1895. She had lived in this
area for about 69 years.
M r s . Berds' h u s b a n d,
Charles A. Berds, died in
1952.
Surviving are four s o n s,
Felix, Peter, John B. and
Charles A. Berds Jr., all of
this city; three daughters,
Mrs. Michael A. (Rose) Schiavone,
Lewiston; Airs. Joseph
A. (Margaret) Rogan, this
city, and Mrs. Mary Favro,
Olean; one sister, Mrs. Mary
Ferraro, this city; 21 grandchildren
and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
held at the Spallino Funeral
Home at 9 a.m. Monday and
at St. Teresa's Church at
9:30 a.m.
Burial will be in Gate of
Heaven Cemetery.
