Miss Rose Mary Berds, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Berds,
of 4322 Hyde Park boulevard,
whose engagement to Michael Angelo
Schlavone, son of Mr. Frank
Paul Schlavone, of 531 Sixteenth
street, has been announced by
her parents. The wedding will
take place in the near future.

A beautiful fall wedding took
place Saturday morning, October
18 at 9 o'clock. in the Saint Teresa
of the Infant Jesus church, when
Miss Rose Mary Berds. daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Berds, became
the bride of Mr. Michel Schiavone.
son of Mr. Frank Schiavone,
the Rev. John M Ryan officiating.
The bride, who entered the church
on the arm of her father, was lovely
in her white satin gown brocaded
with star dust, made with a sweetheart
neckline and long pointed
sleeves which were trimmed with
chantilly lace. Her tulle veil, which
fell from a pearl-studded cap. came
to the edge of her large circular
train, which was also edged with
chantilly lace. She carried an arm
bouquet of white roses, centered
with a single orchid.
Miss Betty Schiavone, sister of the
bridegroom, was maid of honor.
She wore a gown of Duchess blue
moire, with metallic print, and
maroon accessories. Her arm bouquet
consisted of pink tea roses and
white.pom poms.
Mrs. Howard M. Scott, bridesmaid,
wore melon-colored faille fashioned
on Princess lines.. She had silver
accessories and carried yellow tea
rosea with tiny yellow pom poms.
Miss Margaret Berds, sister of the
bride, was Junior bridesmaid. Her
gown was pale aqua faille, also patterned
on Princess lines, and she
chose gold accessories. Her bouquet
was of yellow tea roses and
yellow pom poms.
The best man was Mr. William
Nalbone and the ushers were Mr.
James Serrianni and Mr.' John_De
Munda.
The bride's mother wore a hunter's
green crepe dress with black
accessories and corsage of pink
roses and white pom poms. The
bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Ida Sacco,
wore a soldier blue dress with black
accessories. Her corsage was also
of pink roses and pom poms.
A dinner for 25 guests was held
at Colluci's Bavarian. Later in the
day a reception was held at the
hdme of the bridegroom's father,
where the bride's four-tier wedding
cake was cut.
In the evening Mr. and Mrs.
Schiavone left for a wedding trip
to Washington, D.C., the bride
traveling in a green dress and hat
with brown accessories. Her shoul-
der corsage was an orchid.
