BERG-Louis P. Berg, 71 of
52 Walter Ave., Tonawanda,
unexpectedly Tuesday (April 8
1969) at DeGraff Memorial
Hospital.
A native of Tonawanda, he
had been employed at the Tona-
wanda Post office for 33 years,
retiring 11 years ago. A Navy
veteran of World War I, he was
a member of St. Francis of
Assisi Church, its Holy Name So-
ciety, Ushers and First Friday
Club; Twin City Council 413, K
of c, and the fourth Degree;
Frontiersmen Post 7545, VFW;
tonawanda Exempt Volunteer
Firemen's Association ; Last
Man's Club of the Eldredge club
and the American Legion. He
was a life member of Aerie
1411, FOE; Niagara Hose
Company; Eldredge Bicycle
club, and Tonawanda Post 264
American Legion.
Survivors include his wife,
Agnes (nee Quinlan) Berg; a
daughter, Miss Mary Jo Berg,
and two sons, Peter M. and
David R. Berg, all at home; a
sister, Mrs. Arthur F. Hey of St.
Petersburg, Fla., and a
brother, Charles H., Berg of
Tonawanda.
Friends may call at John O.
Roth Funeral Home, Morgan
and William Streets,
Tonawanda, where prayers will
be said at 10:30 a.m. Thursday,
followed by a Requiem Mass at
11 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi
Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr.
Ralph M. Miller will officiate.
Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Tonawanda Post 264, American
Legion, will conduct a me-
morial service at 7 p.m. to-
night in the funeral home.
