- North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 7/13/1962
BERG - Eugene J. Berg, 54,
of 238-B Gibson St., Tonawanda,
died Thursday (July 12, 1962) in
the E. J. Meyer Memorial Hospital,
Buffalo, after a long illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Tonawanda
and was a member of St.
Francis of Assisi Church, the Holy
Name Society of the church and
was a life member of the Eldredge
Bicycle Club, of which he
was a former secretary. Mr. Berg
delivered mail for several years
in the Gastown section of Tonawanda.
Surviving are his wife.
Ann E. (nee Schinaman); two
step-daughters, Mrs. Robert Mc-
Cadden of Tewksbury, Mass.,
and Mrs. Michael Mihalik of
North Tonawanda; e i g h t stepgrandchildren;
two brothers,
Charles and Louis Berg, both of
Tonawanda, and a sister, Mrs.
Arthur Hey of St. Petersburg,
Fla. Friends may call at the
Hamp Funeral Home Inc., corner
of Adam and Seymour Streets,
Tonawanda, where prayers will
be said at 10:30 a.m. Monday,
followed at 11 a.m. by a Requiem
High Mass at St. Francis of Assissi
Church. The Rev. Wilbur
Yaeger will officiate. Burial in
Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
