WESTLAKE, OH — Daniel L. Few, 68, of Westlake, OH, died April 14, 2013.
Born June 7, 1944, at Lockport Memorial Hospital, he was the son of F. Leslie Few (d. 1950) and Mildred Dohring Few (d. 1978). He was a 1962 graduate of Lockport High School, attended Erie County Technical Institute, received an associate degree in the first graduating class of Niagara County Community College in 1965, attended Syracuse University and graduated from the University of Maryland in Germany. He was a Special Agent for U.S. Army Counterintelligence in Frankfurt, Germany, 1966-1969.
Mr. Few spent much of his career in advertising sales in New York City. In 1984, living in Yorktown Heights, he founded and published The American Dream magazine for new homeowners in suburban New York.
He moved to Lakewood, OH in 1994, working in sales until his health declined, moving to Westlake in 2006. He attended his 50th high school reunion last August.
Mr. Few is survived by longtime companion, Pamela Hardy of Westlake, OH; his former wife, Kathleen (Ledwith) Brandon of Lynbrook, NY; brother, Dudley Few (Sue Ann) of Corona del Mar, CA; sister, Karen Ball (Ben) of Avon Lake, OH; nephew, John Few (Courtney) and two children of Irvine, CA; niece, Martha Few Hirano (Kei) of Tucson, AZ; niece, Leslie Wise (Tony) and two children of Los Angeles, CA; nieces, Katherine Cohler (Ryan) and two children, and Mary Ellen Poole (Matt) and two children of Chicago, IL.
Body donation was made to the Cleveland Clinic, with future interment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
