LOCKPORT — Patricia A. Woolson, age 72, of Ransomville, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, while under the care of Hospice and her loving family.
Pat was born May 19, 1940 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Hector R. and Dorothy G. (Wright) Humphrey, and was a 1958 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School. She married Robert D. Woolson on June 4, 1960, and they have resided in Ransomville since then. Pat was a bus driver, employed by Ransomville Bus Lines for 15 years, retiring in 1984. She then worked at Buetel Greenhouses.
She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church at North Ridge. Pat loved to dance, especially with the "cloggers". She was a member of the Tonawanda Cloghoppers for 13 years, performing at many local fairs and festivals. Pat was an avid quilter and gardener. She was a member of the Wilson Garden Club and the Keenan Center Herb Club. She was a Niagara County Master Gardener and also was a gardening columnist for the Lockport Union-Sun. Of all of Pat's interests, she most loved being with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Douglas (Barbara) Woolson of Ransomville, Kathleen (Randy) Librock of Gasport, and Jeffrey (Linda) Woolson of Kettering, OH. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Dickersonville Cemetery, Lewiston.
