  LaVern P. Mast, Jr., age 66, of North Tonawanda and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, on Friday, September 19, 2014 after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Nora J. (nee Kendall) Mast; son of the late LaVern P., Sr. and Helen R. (nee Fischer) Mast; brother of the late Edward W. Mast and Caroline Milton; and brother-in-law of the late Robert Kendall. LaVern was a lifelong member of Sweeney Hose Co. #7 and retired from NTDPW. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends and will be loved forever. He was a loving father of Alexis (Mark) Eschborn; loving grandfather of Paige Ashley Eschborn; and brother-in-law of Joan Mast, Karl (Janice) Kendall, Miriam (Steve) Marasco and Maria Kendall. Also survived by nieces, nephews and friends. There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Life for both Nora and LaVern will be held at a later date to be announced by their family.
