- SYLVESTER HARMON
Sylvester Harmon 69, of 22 Edith St., Tonawanda, died yesterday morning in the St. Mary's Hospital, Niagara Falls, after a prolonged illness. Born in the town of Amherst, he had resided in Tonawanda the greater part of his life. He was a charter member and a former president of the Eldredge Bicycle Club and a member of Tonawandas Aerie, No. 1411, F.O.E. Surviving are his wife, Mamie, nee Rogers; a son, Ralph of Tonawanda; four daughters, Mrs. Ervin O'Brien of the town of Tonawanda, Mrs. Bernice Mollnow and the Misses Mildred and Marion Harmon of Tonawanda, four grandchildren, five brothers, Valentine of New York City, Frank and William N. of Tonawanda, Edward of North Tonawanda and Aloysius of Honeoye Lake, N. Y., and two sisters, Mrs. George Essenburg of Tonawanda and Mrs. Albert Velia of Buffalo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 in the Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam St., and at 9 o'clock from the St. Francis Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr John A. Weismantel will officiate. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery
