NEWFANE-Carl J. Hofert,
61, of Francis Rd., Batavia, husband
of the late Florence Aikin
Hofert, formerly of this community,
died Monday night (Dec. 16,
1957) in Genesee Memorial Mospital,
Batavia.
He was born in the Town of
Hartland, the son of Charles and
Bertha Berndt Hofert.
Surviving arc a daughter, Mrs.
James Morrrson, California; two
sojhs, LaVerne and David Hofert,
at home; two grandchildren; a
brother, Walter Hofert. Warren's
Corner, and two sisters, Mrs.
Fred Bolls, Lockport, and Mrs.
Laura Chase, of Batavia.
Service will be conducted at
the home of a niece, Mrs. Charles
Tall, 492 Walnut St., Lockport, at
2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be
in Wright's Corners Cemetery.
