  Geneva NY Daily Times - 9/22/1971 GENEVA-James R. Briggs, 53, of 18 Norwood Ave., Geneva, died unexpectedly last evening shortly after arrival at Geneva General Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the DeVaney Co. Funeral Home and at 10 ajn. in St Peter's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pjn. Contributions may be made to the memorial fund of St. Peter's Church. Mr. Briggs was born in Johnson City and had resided in Geneva for several years. He was the son of the late Clarence and Orvilla Gale Briggs. He was employed by 6400 Cab Co. of Geneva. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary and an aunt, Mrs. Bertha Drake of Largo, Fla.
