Miss Marion Marjorie Weber,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
W. Gebhardt became the bride of
LaVern Franklin Boorom, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Boorom. Saturday
evening, September 11 at
7 o'clock in the Salem Evangelical
and Reformed Church. The Rev-
Clarence L. Braun of the St Jeter's
Evangelical and Reformed
Church officiated at the double-
ring ceremony. White pom pom*,,
chrysanthemums, and baby breath
with tall candelabra adorned the
church. Theron Miller sang Because"
and "Thru the Years." He
was accompanied at the organ by
Mrs. Evelyn Cary Miller.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a white bridal
slipper satin gown with a sweetheart
neckline and scalloped tunic.
The bouffant skirt cascaded into
folds forming a chapel train. The
bride's finger tip veil of illusion
was held by a white beaded coronet.
Her only ornament was a
rhmestone necklace, a gift from
the groom. She carried a white
shower bouquet of white roses,
pom poms, and baby breath.
The bride's sister, Mrs. Clark
Schoonover, matron of honor, wore
a golden yellow taffeta gown
which was fashioned after the
bride's gown. Her colonial bouquet
was of pink rose buds, white gladiolus
pom poms, and baby breath.
The bridesmaids, Miss Bonnie
Smith, cousin of the bride, and
.Miss Jean Gebhardt, the bride's
sister, were attired in aqua taffeta
gowns. They carried colonial
bouquets of yellow rose buds, yellow
pom poms, and copper colored
dahlias. The attendants wore headpieces
of ostrich tips and elbowlength
gauntlets to match their
gowns. Single strands of peails
completed their costumes.
The bridegroom was attended
by his brothers James, as best
man; Reginald and Robert as ushers.
The mother of the bride wore a
gray afternoon dress with gray
and black accessories, and a mixed
coinage. The mother of the
groom was attired in a brown suit
with pink and brown accessories
and also wore a mixed corsage.
Immediately after the ceremony,
a reception for 200 was held at the
Labor Hall.
The couple left for a trip to
Perry Sound, Canada. After returning
from their honeymoon,
the bride and groom will reside at
194 East Niagara Stret.
Pre-nuptial parties were given
by Mrs. Clark Schoonover and
Miss Bonnie Smith, Mrs. George
Canham and Mrs. Henry Herdegen,
Mrs. William Smith and Mrs.
Charles Benzino, and the bride
was honored at a dinner given by
the girls of the factory office at
the Buffalo Bolt Company.
