Robert S. Berry, 72, former millwright
at the Lockport Cotton Batting
company, died at 9:55 o'clock
Sunday morning In the Odd Fellows'
home, Lake avenue, after a
long Illness. He had been in poor
health since he entered the home
Aug. 2, 1936.
Mr. Berry was born July 19, 1865,
in Scotland, atid came to this
country when 16 years old. He
learned the papermaker trade and
was employed in various parts of
the country before moving to Lockport.
For 25 years he was millwright
at the cotton batting company
here. Fraternally be was a
member of Constellation lodge, 184,
I.O.O.F., and the Rebekahs.
Surviving are two sons, Robert A..
and William M. Berry, both of
Lockport, and one sister, Mrs. Barbara
Miller, Glasgow, Scotland.
Services will be held tomorrow
afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the
Prudden Funeral home, 242 Genesee
street. The Rev. Harry H.
Bergen, minister of Plymouth Congregational
church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Cold Springs'
cemetery.
