- Richard “Dick” Bowers of Lockport, NY, husband of Carol Mayer Bowers, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Buffalo, NY. He was born in Lockport on June 27, 1940, son of the late Robert and Irene (Heary) Bowers.
Dick worked for Local 22 and was the owner of Hoot Mechanical. He was a member of the Wrights Corners Fire Co. exempts, Island Yacht Club and was very involved in the Boy Scouts Troop 40. Dick enjoyed boating and spending time at his home in Olcott.
Father of Jeffrey (Paula) Bowers, Alan (Kim) Bowers and the late Cheryl Lillybridge. Father-in-law of Damon Lillybridge. Brother of Robert (Marleen) Bowers, John (Barbara) Bowers and the late Gary Bowers. Brother-in-law of Gordon (Beth) Mayer, Lois (late Robert) Hays and Diane (John) Rowley. Grandfather of Shauni, Brendan, Alyssa, Cara, Kaitlyn, Damon Jr., and Jake. Also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
