KILLED IN ACTION - Technician
Fifth Grade Theodore T.
Krigger, 28, son of Mrs. Margaret
Krigger, 3043 East Falls street,
who was killed in action in the
North African area on June 27.
Theodore T. Krigger, 28. a technician
fifth grade in the Coast Artillery
corps of the United States
Army, was killed in action in the
North African war area on June
27, according to notice received by
his mother, Mrs. Margaret Krigger,
of 3043 East Falls street, from Adjutant
General J. A. Ulio, of the
United States War Department.
The adjutant general reported
that the Falls man died from "a
ruptured liver with extensive hemorrhage
in the peritonea) cavity
and thorax." The . place of burial
was not given in the casualty report,
he stated.
Born In Niagara Falls and a resident
of this city all his life, Technician
Krigger was employed as a
molder by the Carborundum company
before joining the army In
March, 1940. He went to England
last July and was sent to Africa
with the American invasion forces
last fall.
His sister, Miss Josephine Krigger
recently received a letter from him.
It was written in North Africa two
days before his death. In It he reported
that "things are quiet around
here now."
He Is also survived by two other
sisters, Mrs. Jessie Beutel, of Adams,
N. Y., and Mrs. Vera Eagler, of
this city.
