- David W. Bevacqua, 61, of Lewiston, NY passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY after a long illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of William and Shirley (S’dao) Bevacqua.
David was a lifelong resident of the area. He attended local schools, graduated from Bishop Duffy High School and later earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Niagara University. He married Micheline (Bellemore) Bevacqua on New Year’s Eve in 1986. David was the vice president of his family’s business S’dao Furniture in Niagara Falls. He was an active member and served as past president of the board of associates of Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. David was an avid golfer and thirty-six year member of the Niagara Frontier Country Club. He also organized many charity golf tournaments. David’s other pleasure was playing pool during the winter months with his golf friends who were known as the “Sweet Sixteen.” He also had lunch with a select group of friends every Thursday at the Como for the past forty years.
In addition to his wife of twenty nine years, David is also survived by four children; Nicole (David) Balzer, Alex (Savana) Bevacqua, Christopher (Feren) Bevacqua and Lauren Bevacqua; five grandchildren, one sister Beth (Jack) Maggi and was also loved by his extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 14th at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
