- John A. “Skip” Puisys, Jr., 77, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2019, at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late John, Sr. and Angela (Pikelis) Puisys.
John married his beloved wife, Carol (Bates) Puisys on June 20, 1964 at St. George’s Church. Mr. Puisys was employed as a Truck Driver at Armand Cerrone, Inc. for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed doing mechanical work, as well as spending time with his loving family and friends.
In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his children, Timothy Puisys, Robin Puisys and Michelle Puisys; his grandchild, Casey Puisys; sister, Marie (Ralph) Pizur; nieces, Kathy Free, Patricia Free, Julianne Free, Heather Pierce, Angela Pizur and Melissa (Frank) Cacciatore. He was predeceased by one sister, Anne (late Joseph) Free.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 -3 & 5 – 7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Monday at 9:30 A.M., followed by Skip’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls.
