- Dorothy Manfredo, 95, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Katherine (Bongiorno) Biamonte.
Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls where she attended local schools. On June 19, 1948, she married her beloved husband, John Manfredo, at the former Our Lady of Lebanon Church.
Dorothy was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church. She was also a member of the St. Joseph’s Mother’s club and the Madonna Del Perpetuo Soccorso Society.
Dorothy was a talented painter and an excellent cook. She also loved listening to music and enjoyed sharing in joy and laughter with her family and friends. Above all, Dorothy centered her life around her family, and cherished the times spent together during family gatherings.
In addition to her husband of 73 years, Dorothy is survived by her children, Robert Manfredo, John Manfredo, Patricia Manfredo, Kathleen (James) Montanaro and Judith (late James) Trombley; her grandchildren, Katie Oldfield, Robert (Megan) Trombley, Elizabeth Scott, Christina Trombley, John (Summer) Montanaro and Michael Montanaro; her great-grandchildren, Madison, Allison, Calvin, Giovanni and James; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Philip J. (late Diane) Biamonte, Thomas (late Theresa Krawczyk) Biamonte.
Dorothy’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 28 at 12 Noon in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph’s Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Holy Family Parish or Niagara Hospice. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
