- oseph Cicco, 88 years old, passed away on October 14, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Mr. Cicco was born in Niagara Falls on July 5, 1932, the son of the late Carmen and Ernestine (Biano) Cicco. He attended local schools and served with the United States Army from June 11, 1953 until his honorable discharge with the rank of Sergeant on May 18, 1955. He was awarded the United Nations Service Medal, the Korean Conflict Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.Mr. Cicco was employed as a maintenance worker at Globe Metallurgical for 32 years and retired in 1994. He was a family oriented man and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing bocce.Mr. Cicco is survived by his wife of 67 years, Agnes (Ferlito) Cicco; his children, Wendy Ann (Dennis) Pollow and Michael (Maria) Cicco; his grandchildren, Michael Cicco, Laura Cicco, Julie (Christopher) Schurr, Bryan Pollow, Dennis (April) Pollow and Nicholas (Stephanie) Pollow; 10 great-grandchildren; his sister, Helen (Philip) Joncas; his brothers, Anthony (Mary) Cicco and Arnold (Jackie) Cicco and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Frances Holiday and his brothers, Robert Cicco and Carmen Cicco.A Mass of Christian Burial and Military Honors will be held for the immediate family at St. Vincent DePaul Parish at St. Leo's Church with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating and interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
