- Richard N. ‘Munch’ Robins, 75, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on August 23, 2022 at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Harry and Rose (Caccamise) Robins.
Munch was a graduate of Niagara-Wheatfield High School. He proudly served in the 107th Air National Guard and was activated by the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1969. Richard was employed for 37 years with General Motors as a Skilled Tradesman until his retirement, and was a member of the United Autoworkers Union. Munch was an avid New York Yankees fan. He loved Corvettes and going to car shows. He was also a model train enthusiast, and enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Stacy (Michael) Passino; his brother, Robert Robins; his Godson, Patrick Robins, as well as by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his cat, Lucy. He was predeceased by his siblings, William (Mary Ann) Robins, James Robins (Carol), and Sharon (late Kaveda) Charles.
Richard’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 10 at 10 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Interment with Military Honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Open Arms Rescue, http://www.oarwny.org/, or to Buddy’s Second Chance Rescue, 2813 Niagara Street, Buffalo, NY 14207. Arrangements by M.J.
