LYNDONVILLE - Alfred W.
Bickle, 66, of Lyndonville, died
Monday night at the Arnold Gregory
Memorial Hospital, Albion, after
having been in ill health for the past
three years.
Bom in Lyndonville on March 17,
1922, the son of Roy and Eva (Klino)
Bickle, he had spent his whole
life in Orleans County. Mr. Bickle
had been employed by the Lapp
Express Co. for 27 years prior to his
retirement in 1977.
He was a veteran of World War
II, having served in the 506lh Bomber
Squadron of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret
A. (Stahl) Bickle; a son, Alfred
L. Bickle of Barker; four daughters,
Joan Skernick of Medina, Mario
Bickle of Lyndonville, Pat Jepson of
Middleport, and Mary Lamonte of
Lyndonville; nine grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; a brother,
Leonard Bickle of Dansville; and
several nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
He was pre-deceased by two sisters,
Helen Bujalski in 1987 and
Verdella Bickle in 1988.
Relatives and friends may call at
the Houseman Funeral. Home, 228
Park Ave., Medina, today (2-4, 7-9).
The Rev. Richard Hertzenrater, pastor
of the Ashwood Wesleyan
Methodist Church, will officiate at a
2 p.m. service at the funeral home
on Thursday.
Burial will be in Bates Road
