Stricken while refereeing a basketball
game at the North End
YMCA last night, Raymond L.
Bierly, 36, of 3059 Lincoln street.
Town of Niagara, died despite efforts
of a Tire department inhalator
crew to revive him. The firemen
worked for 25 minutes before he
was pronounced dead by a phsician.
A native of Du Bois. Pa., Mr.
Bierly had been a chemical operator
at the B. F. Goodrich chemical
plant for 19 years.
Surviving arc his wife, Mrs. Harriett
Ives" Bierly and two children,
Raychell Anne and David B. Bierly
this city; five sisters. Mrs. Lucille
Myrtle, DuBois;. Mrs. Katherine
Myrtle, North Tonawanda; Mrs.
Jean Morgan, Grampain, Pa.; Mrs.
Louise Minns, Pine Dale, Wyo., and
Mrs. Margaret Carter, this city and
five brothes, Thomas Bierly, North
Tonawanda; James Bierly, Reynoldsville..
Pa.; George Bierly, Pine
Dale, and Forest and William J.
Bierly, both of this city.
Funeral services will be held
Monday at 1:30 p. m. at the Bell
Funeral chapel with interment in
Memorial Park cemetery.
