Mrs. Anna Beitz, 65, mother of
Police Chief George C. Marohn,
died yesterday at her home, 47
Camey street. Mrs. Beitz came to
America from Germany at the
age of two and had resided here

She was a member of the Salem
Evangelical and Reformed church,
the Ladies' Aid Society and the
W.B A.
She is survived by her husband,
Charles; a son, Chief Marohn;
two daughters, Mrs. Edward
Krell of Toledo, O., and Mrs. Joseph
Mislin of Tonawanda; 16
grandchildren, one, great grand-
child and three brothers, Gott-
fried, Frederick and William
Schwansfeger, all of Tonawanda.
Funeral services will be conducted
tomorrow afternoon at 3
o'clock in the Hamp Funeral
Home, 37 Adam street, the Rev.
W.er F. Hetzel officiating. In-
terment will be in Elmlawn,
