Funeral services for L. Chester
Bigalow were held at his late home
on Transit road, Wednesday after-
noon, the Rev. Leland Boyd Henry,
D.D., pastor of the Methodist
Episcopal church, of which Mr.
Bigalow was a member, officiating.
Mrs. Lindsay Hobbs and Mrs. Her-
bert McClew sang "In the Garden"
and Mrs. Hobbs, "The City Four-
Square."
Mr. Bigalow was born in Wilson
thirty-seven years ago and was a
son of the late Sheriff Alanson C.
Bigalow. He came to Newfane
several years ago when he pur-
chased the farm on the Transit
road. He is survived by his wife,
Mabel Bassler Bigalow, and two
daughters, Betty and Marjorie, at
home; his mother at Lockport, and
two brothers, Fred and Ellsworth
of Wilson. Interment was in Cor-
win cemetery. The bearers were
George Phillips, John Shaw, Clifford
Bixler, Glenn Kolbow, Bert Schwei-
gert, and Clifford Gray.
