Victory Mills-An a t t r a c t i v e wedding
was solemnized this morning
at the Church of the Visitation,
when Miss Mari Monica Cromie,
d a u g h t e r of Mr. and Mrs. David
H. Cromie, was married to George
Bihn. son of Mis. Julia Bihn of
Stamford. The ceremony was performed
by the rector, the Rev.
Walter T. Bazaar, at a Nuptial
High Mass at 9 o'clock. The Rev.
J o h n J. Finn of St. J a m e s , Chatham,
and the Rev. Leo J. Dufort
of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Schuylerville,
were seated in the sanct
u a r y .
The a t t e n d a n t s were Miss Alice
Ryan of Brattleboro, Vt. and
Trooper James Buckley of New
Rochelle. Clement Currier and
Mitchell Connors were the ush-
ers.
The bride was becomingly gowned
in linen blue velvet, fashioned
w i t h a short train, and wore a
halo of braided velvet and shoulder
length tulle veil in m a t c h i ng
color. Her a r m bouquet was of
pink roses and blue delphinium.
The maid of honor was attractively
attired in midnight blue
velvet, shot with gold, and wore a
m a t c h i n g turban. Her bouquet
was of t a l i s m a n roses.
The wedding music was played
by Mrs. R. T. Carey. During the
mass Mrs. Teresa Cheney sang as
the offertory hymn Gounod's Ave
Maria, and the communion hymn,
Veni Jesu. The Benedictus sung
at the mass was composed by the
Rev. Walter T. Bazaar. On This
Day, O Beautiful Mother, was
sung at the conclusion of the ceremony.
The church was beautifully
decorated with autumn flowers.
A reception and wedding breakfast
for the bridal party, t h e families
and a few close friends followed
at Hotel Gates.
Mr and Mrs. Bihn later departed
on a wedding trip to Washington,
D. C, the bride t r a v e l i n g in
a brown-checked suit with brown
accessories.
The bride is editor of t h e Schuylerville
S t a n d a r d and a member of
t h e Democratic State Committee,
S a r a t o g a County. The bridegroom
is connected with the New York
S t a t e Constabulary, stationed at
G h e a d q u a r t e r s in Troy.
Guests were present at the wedding
from Scl. ylerville, Victory
Mills, Troy. Stamford, Buffalo,
Chatham, Glens Falls and Ballston
Spa.
D u r i n g the past few weeks several
a t t r a c t i v e pre-nuptial affairs
have been given in honor of the
bride.
