  Castile NY Castilian - 6/26/1908 Ezra H. Billings, a respected citizen of this place, died at his home in this village Tuesday morning June 23, 1908, of apoplexy, aged 68 years, 3 months, 14 days. He was- the son of Joseph and Betsey Dean Billings and was born in this town where he has always resided. He was a member of George G. Pierce Post G.'A. R. having served three ^years in the Civil War and was honorably discharged. He is survived by his wife who was Miss Sarah Crissey, and four sons, Frederick, Albert and Walter of Castile and Merton of Mentor, Ohio. He also leaves two sisters and one brother. The funeral services were held at his late home Thursday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. L. L. Rogers of Silver Springs officiating. The burial was in Hope cemetery.
