Death of Abram Johnson, 72
occurred on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at
the Warsaw hospital where he had
been taken on Monday. Mr. Johnson
an employee of the village
public works department for the
past 11 years, had been unable to
work since May because of failing
health.
He was born in the town of
Castile on Sept. 15, 1875, and had
been a life-long resident of this
vicinity. He was one of ten children
of Henry and Eliza Lee Johnson.
He followed the vocation of
farming for many years and was
an employee of the Perry Knitting
Co. before .taking a position with
the village.
On Feb. 20, 1901, he was united
in marriage to Miss Bessie Chllds
of Perry, who survives together
with one daughter, Meora (Mrs.
Moore Billings.There are ten
grandchildren.
Services will be held from the
Eaton Funeral Home on Friday
afternoon, Rev. Vergil Gerber of
the Baptist Church, of which he
was a member, officiating. In-
terment will be in Castile Cemetery.
