- Shirley Kelly Rychel, a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, New York, was born on March 7, 1928 and passed away on November 25, 2020, at the age of 92.
Mrs. Rychel was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School and was
employed at Hooker Electrochemical Corporation, Super Duper, Bon-Ton, as well as the Small Business Administration during disaster relief.
She was the beloved wife of the late Edward H. Rychel; and the beloved mother of Marianne (Joseph) Rychel of Glenmont, NY, Edward R. (Michelle) Rychel of Peoria, AZ, and the late Paul E. Rychel. She is survived by her grandchildren, Daniel P. Conophy, Dr. Jennifer Conophy, Nina Rychel and Noah Rychel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as many great neighbors and friends who were a large part of her life. She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Clara Kelly; and her sisters, Mildred Coleman and Joan Phillips.
The family would like to offer their gratitude to the staff on
3West and the ICU/Critical Care Unit at Millard Fillmore Suburban for their kindness and compassionate care.
Funeral services will be private.
