Wesley W. Bills of Pittsford died Saturday,
June 30,1984 at his Larchwood
Drive home after an extended battle
with cancer. He was 71. °
Mr. Bills was born in Auburn and
was a graduate of Auburn High School.
Hereceived a bachelor's degree in chemical
engineering from Mechanics Institute,
Rochester, and did some graduate
work at the University of Rochester.
He was a 45-year employee of the
Eastman Kodak Company, working in
the paper mill as a chemical engineer
before becoming assistant superintendent
at Kodak Park. He retired in 1976.
Mr. Bills was active in the Boy Scouts
from 1944 to 1956 serving as a committeeman,
merit badge counselor and as
Great Northern District chairman. He
also served as a trustee and treasurer of
the Seneca United Methodist Church
and as a committee member on the Rochester
District Union of the United
Methodist Church.
Since retiring, he spent many hours
volunteering at Genesee Hospital. In
his spare time, Mr. Bills enjoyed woodworking,
vacationing in the Adirondacks
and traveling to Europe, Canada,
and the South Pacific.
A service in his memory was" held
July 10 at the Seneca United Methodist
Church, Irondequoit. Funeral arrangements
were by the Willard H. Scott
Funeral Home, Webster.
Mr. Bills leaves his wife, Kathryn;
two sons and daughters-in-law, David
and Sandra, Alan and Sharon; a daughter
and son-in-law, Kathryn and Richard
Bushnell; 12 grandchildren; and
two brothers, Roscoe and Allan. Contributions
may be madein his memory
to the Cancer Fund or Seneca United
Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
