- CLEMEN - Carl F. Jr. Age 92 of the City of Tonawanda, November 21, 2015, under the care of Hospice. A life long resident of Tonawanda, husband of 69 years of Betty J. (nee Driscoll) Clemen; father of Drew F. Clemen, Susan K. (William) Petrillo and Sally J. (Alan) Stroka; grandfather of Andrew (Jill), Angela (Dallas), David (Chris), Jennifer (Matt) and Bradley and seven great-grandchildren; brother of the late Virginia Thursam and great-uncle of Denise. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM Wednesday in Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan St., Tonawanda. Friends invited. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ;(function() ()); American Heart Assn. or to Niagara Hospice. Carl was a 1940 graduate of Tonawanda High School and a 1950 graduate of the University of Buffalo. He was an U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He retired as an Accountant for Anchor Savings Bank and was an active member of Salem United Church of Christ. Carl was also a life member and Past Commander of Tonawandas' Post No. 264 American Legion and Secretary of the Last Man's Club. A life member of the Niagara Hose Co. No. 3 and a member of the Tonawanda Exempt Volunteer Firemen's Assn., Past Master and Treasurer of Fellowship Lodge No. 1175 F & A.M., member of Valley of Buffalo AASR and a member of the Historical Society of the Tonawanda's.
