YOUNGSTOWN —
Mary Jane Lynch, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013, in her home, under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 17, 1923, a daughter of the late Aloysius and Margaret (Downey) McIntyre.
Mrs. Lynch attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from St. Mary's High School. She was a active member of Sacred Heart Church and was Past President of the Church's Mother's Club. Mrs. Lynch was a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital for over 42 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking. Mrs. Lynch was the wife of the late Elliott J. Lynch, who died in December of 1992.
She is survived by four sons William (Janet) Lynch of Atlanta, GA, James Lynch and Mark (Thomas) Lynch, both of Youngstown, NY and Brian (Maryanne) Lynch of Providence, RI; two daughters, Patricia F. and Mary Carol Lynch both of Youngstown, NY; one brother, Edmund "Ned" (Barbara) McIntyre; three sisters, Rita D. (late John) deWysocki, Nancy (late Herbert) Wills and Denise McIntyre; one brother-in-law, John Moran. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lynch was the mother of the late John A. Lynch and sister of the late Patricia Krisher and Victory Moran.
There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11:15 AM at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Hinman and Second Streets, Youngstown, NY, with Msgr. Thomas J. Moran officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094. Inurnment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
