LOCKPORT — Arthur E. McIntosh, age 99, of Newfane, entered into rest on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born January 10, 1912 in Mt. Vernon, NH, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Laura (Serina) McIntosh.
Arthur married Margaret Wolters June 8, 1940 in Lockport. Mrs. McIntosh died December 31, 1994. They had lived in Newfane since 1966; previously of Warrens Corners. Arthur worked as a production machinist and instructor at Harrison Radiator, retiring in 1974 after 22 years of service. He was a member of the Ridgewood Bible Church since 1945. He taught Sunday School, the Ambassador Class, in the 1970’s. He enjoyed making wood crafts and reading his Bible.
Arthur is survived by his children, Richard (Kathleen) McIntosh of Lockport and Wesley (Lori) McIntosh of Peoria, AZ. Grandfather of Virginia (Ross) Niver, Holly (Dean) Tzounakos, Jacob (Amy) McIntosh and Robert McIntosh. Great-grandfather of Zachary, Ethan, Adam, Alexander, Andreas, Morgan and Justice. Brother of the late Clyde McIntosh and Grace Drake.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Ridgewood Bible Church, 7073 Ridge Road, Lockport, NY on Thursday from 12 until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the church at 1:00 PM, with the Reverend Dr. Charles Jennings officiating. Interment will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery, Lockport, NY. Memorials appreciated to Ridgewood Bible Church.
