BISTOFF - Roger A. Bistoff of
9649 Hlnman Rd. Town of Lock
port. , passed away suddenly Sept.
5, 1961. He leaves his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Royal A. Bistoff of the
Town of Lockport; grandfather,
Henry Bergman of Clarence, N.
Y.; an aunt and four uncles; and
several cousins. Friends may call
beginning at 7 p m. this evening
[at the Lange Funeral Home 186
East Ave. where funeral services
will be held on Thursday, Sept 7,
1961 at 11 a.m. The family will
be present from 2 to 4 and 7-9
p.m. Interment in Millard Fill-
more Cemetery, Clarence, N.Y.

LOCKPORT-A Town of Lockport man was killed
early today when the car he was driving went out of
control and struck a tree in Hinman Road, just inside
the Lockport city limits. Only three other persons were
injured in county auto mishaps over the three-day Labor
Day weekend.
The fatal accident was the
17th on county roads outside
the City of Niagara Falls this
year, compared with 19 at the
same time last year.

Hinman Road, died of multiple
injuries suffered when he
was pinned in the wreckage
"of his car.
Dr. George V. Muscato Jr.,
this city, a Niagara County
coroner, investigated.
Lockport police said Bistoff
was killed shortly after 2 a.m.
today when his car struck the
tree abput 1,000 feet south of
the Summit Street intersection.
Officers Richard Moran
and Charles Sobieraski said
the auto skidded 195 feet before
hitting the tree. Bistoff
was traveling alone, the report
said.
Dr. Muscato said Bistoff
died of a fractured skull,
crushed chest and multiple
fractures.
He was born in Lockport
Sept. 20, 1935, the son of
Royal A. and Doris Bergman
Bistoff. He attended Lockport
schools and served in the
Army from April 1958 until
April 1960. For the last five
years he was employed as a
welder at Frontier Stone Products
Inc., Lockport.
In addition to his parents,
he is survived by his grandfather,
Henry Bergman, Clarence;
an aunt, four uncles
and several cousins. Services
will be held Thursday at 11
a.m. at the Lange Funeral
Home, this city. Rev. Ritchard
E. Lyon, pastor of First
Baptist Church, will officiate
and burial will be in Millard
Fillmore Cemetery, Clarence.
