APPLETON - William E.
Raetz Sr.. 53, of 7429 Lake
Road, died unexpectedly Wednesday
after suffering an apparent
heart attack at home.
He died in Inter-Community
Memorial Hospital, Newfane,
shortly after admittance.
He was born March 5, 1912,
in the Town of Royalton, a
son of August and Ernesting
Keuken Raetz. He had re-
sided in this community for
the last 19 years and was em-
ployed by the Maier Schule
GMC Truck Co. of Lockport.
Prior to that, he worked for
the Niagara County Fruit co.,
Lockport.
Survivors include his wid-
ow, Florence Eartel Raetz; a
daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Flor-
ence) Tarajos, Newfane; four
sons, William E. Raetz, Bar-
Barker;
Walter E. and Richard A.
Raetz, Appleton, and David J.
Raetz, North T o n a w a n d a;
seven g r a n d c h i l d r e n ; three
sisters, Mrs. Glenn Sponsei
and Mrs. Louise Bistoff, both
of Lockport, and Mrs. Edward
Robideau, Swormsville; and a
brother, August Raetz, Lock-
port.
Friends may call at the Rut-
land-Corwin Funeral Home,
Newfane, starting today. The
family will be present from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services
will be held Saturday at the
funeral home and burial will
be in the Corwin Cemetery,
Newfane.

Walter E.. and Richard A., both
of Appleton;; brother of Mrs.
Glen (Marie) Sponsel and Mrs.
Louise Bistoff, both of Lock-
port, Mrs. Edward (Anna) Rob-
ideau of Swormsville and Au-
gust Raetz of Lockport; also
survived by seven grandchildren
and several nieces and neph-
ews. friends may call at the
Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home,
2670 Main St., Newfane. The
family will be present from 2-4
and 7-9. Funeral services will
be held Saturday, Sept. 16, 1965,
at 11 a.m. Interment will be
in Corwin Cemetery, Newfane.
