Ftineral services for Herman C.
Bredlau, who died suddenly at his
home, 245 Falconer St, Monday
noon, will be held tomorrow afternoon
at 2 o'clock from the residence.
The Rev. Carl A. Frankenstein
will officiate and burial will
be in Cold Springs Cemetery,
Lockport.

Herman C. Bredlau, 67, of 245
Falconer St., a building contractor
in the Tonawandas for 42 years,
died shortly before noon today at
his home. He had been ill for
more than a year, having been
stricken with a heart attack in
January 1947.
Born in Germany, Mr. Bredlau
came to America with his parents
at the age of 2. He lived in Lockport
and Buffalo before coming
to North Tonawanda in 1906.
He and his brother, Frank
Bredlau, formed the building
firm of Bredlau Bros., soon after
coming to North Tonawanda.
They were engaged principally in
the construction of homes. In 1921
Frank Bredlau moved to Florida
and Mr. Bredlau continued in the
building trade.
He was a member of the St.
Matthew's Lutheran Church on
Wheatfield St. and of the Men's
Club of the church. He was a
former member of the Kiwanis
Club of the Tonawandas. Funeral
announcement will be made later.
Mr. Bedlau is survived by a
daughter, Mrs. Milton Peters.
