- Nancy L. (Palia) Bass, 78, of Palmetto, Florida, died September 28, 2016. Born July 2, 1938 in Lockport NY, she moved to Palmetto in 1958. She was the daughter of Joseph and Sally Palia, preceded in death by daughter, Shelly Rae; and is survived by son, Scott, of Sydney, Australia; daughter, Laura, of Ocean Springs, MS; sister, Angela Dempsey of Spencerport NY; and brother, Robert Palia of Lockport NY. Nancy's greatest love was motherhood. She sacrificed much for and was completely devoted to her children, who love her very, very much. Be at Peace Mom, wrapped in the love of God, and embracing Shelly Rae again after all these years. We will remember you always and will love you all the days of our lives.
