  Lockport NY Union Sun Journal - 2/18/1933 David Bates, Sr., entered into rest, on Saturday, February 18th, 1933, at his home 433 Park Ave. He is survived by his wife, Rita Zates, one daughter and two sons, Mrs. Charles Zoss, Arthur Bates and David Bates, Jr., and one sister Mrs. Kate Boyer all of Lockport, and one brother William Bates of Albion. The funeral services will be held at his late resldence Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Burial at Cold Springs cem etery.
