LEWISTON — Nancy P. (Bongiovanni) Halliday, 57, of Lewiston, NY passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Lackawanna, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eva (Timco) Bongiovanni, Jr.
Nancy was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls and Lewiston area. She attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle Senior High School in 1973. On December 31, 1999, she married Rick J. Halliday. He predeceased her on July 6, 2004. Nancy was employed as a release agent for a customs brokerage firm in Lewiston. Nancy enjoyed shopping, traveling to French River in Canada, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Nancy was the daughter-in-law of Ken and Dorothy Halliday of Lewiston, NY; and sister-in-law of Debbie and Paul Skalla of Niagara Falls, NY; Sharon and Bill Ruth of Lewiston, NY and Gary and Debbi Halliday of Ohio. She is also survived by her dear friends, Mary Lou and Russell Hill of Niagara Falls, NY and family, Jennifer Kashella and Vanessa Mercurio; her nieces and nephews, Deidre, Jeremy, Alyson, Lauren, Donny and Kristi; her Godchild, Rachel Lafreniere-Conrad of Louisiana; several cousins; and her beloved dog, Shemp. Nancy's family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Jackie Dick and Mike Lauzau.
There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, August 31st at 11 AM in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, 3806 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CEMETERY. Entombment will follow. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co.
