  Lockport NY Union Sun Journal - 11/2/1927 Newfane, Nov. 2-Charles D. Blxler, retired Newfane farmer, 71 years old, died Tuesday morning at t h e home of his sister, Mrs Thomas Richards of West avenue. Newfane, following a month's illness and two recent operations at Lockport City hospital. Mr. Bixler was born in Newfane, where he had always resided. He owned a large farm on the Dale road, and was a prosperous farmer. The funeral will be held from his sister's home Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with the Rev. A. P. Goodwin, of the Baptist church, officiating. Burial Will be in Corwin cemetery. Mrs. Richards is the only surviving relative.
