  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 4/20/1962 BLACK - Helen B. (Nellie) (nee Wilson) Black, 74, of 19 Allen St., North Tonawanda, died Thursday (April 19, 1962) after a lingering illness. She is survived by her husband, Alexander D. Black; three sons, John R. of Westfield, N.Y., Donaldl J. and Thomas a. Black, both of North Tonawanda; five daughters, Mrs. Michael (Margaret) Hurley and Mrs. James (Evelyn) Hallman, both of Buffalo, Mrs. Lars (Jean) Waage of Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Lawrence (Janet) Sparks and Hel- en Alexia Black, both of North Tonawanda; a sister, Mrs. James (Jean) Wilson of North Tonawan- da; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Road, where services will be con- ducted at 9:30 a.m. Monday and at St. Joseph's Church at 10 a.m. The Rev. Charester H. Polewicz will officiate. Interment in Mount Oli- vet Cemetery. Mrs. Black was a charter member of the St. Joseph Altar Society and the Ladies Aux- iliary of the Brotherhood of Rail- road Trainmen, Niagara Falls, N.Y.
